Learning Support Assistants in Pre-School/EYFS
Would you like to develop a career in childcare or education? Do you love working in EYFS and appreciate the whole child approach? We are looking for two passionate Learning Support Assistants to join our friendly team!
Both roles will involve you in the delivery of outstanding education and care to our Pre-school children (aged 2-5). You will ensure that our EYFS children can learn in a creative and fun way, with the intellectual, emotional, physical and social development of each child in mind. You will ensure that a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment is provided, both indoors and outdoors. You will work closely with our EYFS Lead and other experienced Pre-School Staff to develop our provision and promote our vision to continue to grow our little Pre-school.
In addition, there is the opportunity for you to demonstrate your enthusiasm and care for our school age children each day by developing our planned after-school care provision.
The ideal candidates will have a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare, or the desire to achieve this in the next 12-18 months (we can support you with this). Experience working in an EYFS setting or with primary age children would also be useful but an interest in and commitment to promoting the wellbeing and life-chances of children and developing a career in childcare is just as important.
You will be of a calm and caring nature, with excellent verbal communication skills and an ability to build relationships with children and adults alike. You will also have good literacy and numeracy skills, as well as strong organisational and administrative skills.

At present it is intended that 1 candidate will work in the mornings in the pre-school and the other will work in the pre-school for the first part of the afternoon then stay to provide our after-school care. However, this is negotiable and we can adapt this if the successful candidates wish to job-share and/or work full days. Please indicate on your application which hours/role would suit you – you do not have to complete 2 applications if you would like to be considered for both roles!
