Science at Trekenner
At Trekenner, we aim to inspire a sense of wonder and curiosity about the natural world by developing confident, inquisitive, and reflective young scientists. Our science curriculum is designed to ensure that all pupils:
- Develop a secure understanding of key scientific concepts across biology, chemistry, and physics.
- Learn to work scientifically by asking questions, making predictions, planning investigations, observing carefully, and drawing conclusions.
- Build scientific knowledge and vocabulary through hands-on exploration, enquiry-based learning, and real-world contexts.
- Understand the role of science in everyday life and its impact on the world, both past and present.
- Foster a lifelong interest in science by encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and a willingness to explore and experiment.
Through engaging, inclusive, and practical experiences, we empower every child at Trekenner to think like a scientist: questioning, investigating, and making sense of the world around them.
