Happy New Year to all!
It seems appropriate that our topic this term is Frozen Kingdoms - studying the poles and comparing the Artic and Antarctic circles - we made the most of the cold weather with our ice-art freezing beautifully overnight. Owls class are enjoying our literacy work on Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief as well as reading some original Greek Myths.
We continue to follow the White Rose Maths programmes of study and are determined to get to grips with fractions as well as understanding geometry - shape, space and measure.
In science we are looking at 'Sound' - how we hear, how sound waves travel and we will even have a go at making our own string telephones!
Art and DT will see us exploring Inuit and environmental art as well as attempting to build our own igloo!
