PSHE/RSE

Personal, Social and Health Education [PSHE]
and Relationships and Sex Education [RSE]

At Trekenner, we are committed to supporting the personal development, wellbeing, and safety of every child through a comprehensive PSHE and Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) curriculum. Our aim is to equip pupils with the knowledge, skills, and values they need to lead confident, healthy, and responsible lives, both now and in the future.

Our curriculum ensures that all pupils:

  • Develop emotional literacy, resilience, and self-esteem to support their mental and physical wellbeing.
  • Build respectful, caring relationships and understand the importance of consent, boundaries, and empathy.
  • Learn how to stay safe in a range of situations, including online safety, peer pressure, and personal privacy.
  • Understand the changes that occur as they grow, including puberty, and develop a positive sense of identity.
  • Explore issues of equality, diversity, and inclusion, fostering respect for others and celebrating difference.
  • Gain the tools to make informed decisions about health, relationships, and their role in the wider community.

Through a safe, inclusive, and age-appropriate approach, we empower every child at Trekenner to become a thoughtful, respectful, and well-rounded individual, ready to navigate the complexities of the modern world with confidence and care.
